Moro Islamic Vocal Music of Mindanao

The term Moro refers to the different ethno-linguistic groups in Southern Philippines, having Islam as their religion..
In contrast to lowland musics, the musics of Islamic groups show few hispanic incursions.
The music in Mindanao is both vocal and instrumental. Vocal music expresses their thoughts and emotions. While the instrumental music is used to accompany dances and rituals.
The song " Ayaw kaw Magtangis" a Mindanao folk song of Tausug. The man is requesting the woman to stop crying because it also breaks his heart. I like the verse and the chorus of the song the dynamics changes from soft to loud melody.
The song relates in my life when I see women crying it breaks my heart. I really pity on her.  Crying is good for the soul. It means something needs to be released and if you don't release that something, it weighs you down, until you can hardly move.
The responsiblities that the songwritters
have to use their platforms for a positive change, is to make the song less dramatic and more songs that relate to their fans and how they feel about life.
